Witching Hour Market

Origin Story

WHM was incepted by Rhiannon Needham, (Balancing Scales), & Alisha Lezama, (Kaleyedascopize Arts).

The idea came to life during the early hours before a local art event began where Rhiannon and Alisha were stationed next to each other. While waiting for the event to open, both Libras began discussing what their ideal 30th birthday celebration would entail. Surrounded by some of their favorite small business owners at that event, they came up with the idea of hosting a small vendor market to celebrate Libra season & all the excitement that comes along with the Season of the Witch.

And so, Witching Hour Market was born!

Within hours of tossing around the idea, your Libra Cofounders had secured a venue, designed branding and logos, and compiled a list of ideal vendors for their first event.

Since hosting the first Witching Hour Market at Harbor House, North Tonawanda, WHM has hosted four events to date- each one exceedingly growing in size.

Witching Hour Market is dedicated to intentionally curating event experiences that deliver a lucrative and successful event for our vendors & a magickal and memorable event for our guests.
WHM intends to continue to improve their event experiences and grow their platform to provide opportunity for creative & spiritual entrepreneurs of WNY and surrounding areas to share their craft and businesses with the community.

Rhiannon Needham, Balancing Scales

Birthdate: October 6th

Fine Artist, Full Spectrum Doula, Reproductive Advocate, Educator, Reiki Master, Tea Leaf Reader

Rhiannon has been creating art for a few years with what started as a way to reduce anxiety and find a medium to focus on. She is completely self-taught, venturing through watercolor and acrylic painting. She found her passion in textured art and heavy-body acrylic painting. Her focus on textures and patterns encompasses how she views the beauty in feeling and how art can be calming to feel, instead of just look at. Aside from being a co-founder of Witching Hour Market and curating events, Rhiannon works full-time as a reproductive health advocate and educator. She is also completing her doctoral studies in Clinical Psychology, with a focus on perinatal mental health.

Alisha Lezama, Kaleyedascopize Arts

Birthdate: October 4th

Fine Artist, Gallery Curator, Tarot Reader, Reiki Master, Spiritual Advisor

Alisha is a self-taught artist currently residing in Elmwood Village of Buffalo, New York. Her interest in the arts started at a young age, having always been drawn to creative outlets and experimenting with different mediums of expression. Art took the back burner during the early years of her college experience while Alisha focused on completing her dual major Bachelor’s Degree in Adolescent Education & Psychology, with a focus on abnormal human behavior. During her junior & senior years at Medaille, Alisha began to shift her focus and consider her propensity for art as a potential career, after coming to the understanding that the red tape policies of our educational & medical system would not fit her personality or integrity.

Alisha entered into the art community slowly by starting off with exhibiting at staple art festivals of WNY and securing a group showing at Buffalo Big Print. After such exposure, Alisha was commissioned her first portrait from a live model, spurring her career as an abstract nude painter into action. Ever since, Alisha has created hundreds of original artworks forever immortalizing the feminine form on canvas, participated in a wide scale of events throughout WNY, and has exhibited four solo art installations. She continues to experiment with new mediums, styles, and environments, expanding into design consulting for interiors and curating installations for small businesses & local galleries.

As a Spiritualist practitioner, Alisha has been practicing the Art of Tarot for over seven years. Intuitively drawn to the traditional Rider Waite imagery from a young age, it felt fated & natural the first time she picked up a deck. Alisha incorporates your current point in life’s journey & your astrological placements when divining your Tarot reading.

In addition to Tarot, Alisha currently practices as a Spiritual Advisor, Reiki Master, & Psychic Experience Guide with clients of all ages & demographics.

Reiki sessions include a combination of holistic healing practices to support your mind, body, & spirit as a collective unit.

Aromatherapy & Soundbowl therapy aid in the release of stagnant energy, & also help allow Alisha to see the movement of energy currents more clearly.

Reiki sessions aim to leave the client feeling relaxed & refreshed, while energetically connected to our highest timeline, Higher Self, & Source Consciousness.
